We leave for the cruise from our harbour – near the centre located hotels – with a traditional riverboat. We drive along Ounas- and Kemijoki –rivers; you will see
the beautiful surrounding nature with peaceful green islands and Ounasvaara fell – the highest point in Rovaniemi.

Riverboat Cruise to the Reindeer Farm
Come and join a traditional boat cruise along the lumberjack’s floating route.
You will enjoy the beautiful scenery of the valleys of the Rivers Ounasjoki and Kemijoki.
In a long wooden riverboat you travel through the peaceful nature, experience the
summer at the Arctic Circle, and learn about reindeer herding while visiting the local
Reindeer Farm. At the cottage you enjoy a cup of coffee and participate in the ceremony
of crossing the Arctic Circle.

HIGHLIGHTS OF THE ARCTIC JOURNEY
Visit to the Santa Claus Village by Car and Riverboat Cruise to the Reindeer Farm
First you head by car to the magical line of Arctic Circle, where Santa Claus has his office.
Go shopping and see the many wonderful handicrafts of Lapland. You can send letters and
postcards from the Santa Claus Post Office and meet Santa Claus in his office. Then you will
cruise by traditional riverboat to the local reindeer farm, where you will learn about reindeer
herding and participate in the ceremony of crossing the Arctic Circle. At the end of the journey,
you receive an Arctic Circle crossing certificate. This safari includes lunch. Duration 6 hours

RIDE THROUGH WILDERNESS
Forest Buggy Driving to a View Point, Optional Abseiling Experience
Enjoy the outdoors and drive a bug car past breathtaking scenery. Having got geared up,
your guide takes you by car to the wilderness centre where our safari begins.  You follow a curvy trail up into the hills, where you can see the pure wilderness of  Lapland all around you. After a break you’ll head down into the woods and take you rugged trail back to the start point. You have a possibility to see various wild birds and other animals in their natural environment during the safari. Return to the city by car. Participants will take turns in driving. The driver must be minimum 15 years of age and in the possession of valid driving license. Duration 3 hours

SPEED OF THE RAPIDS
White Water Rafting Experience in Pure Lappish Nature
Our rubber rafting programme starts from Rovaniemi centre. Captain will meet the team  at our safari house, where we get rafting outfits. After this we will drive to the start point,
25 kilometres north from Rovaniemi. After a short lesson and checking equipment, we start  paddling with rubber rafts along the river. Ten kilometres with six different rapids are waiting for us! After the river part transfer back to Rovaniemi. Duration 3 hours

Lappish Barbeque-Safari
Wooden riverboat takes us along Ounasjoki-river to the beautiful countryside. We will make a campfire, have a real outdoor barbecue and enjoy the warmth of fire.

THE SECRET OF THE ANTLER
Visit by Riverboat to the Local Handicraft Workshop and Lappish Home
We head by riverboat to the local handicraft workshop where the Lappish family will tell you about the established traditions and the reindeer antler work currently being produced at the workshop. Everyone will have the opportunity to make their own souvenir (necklace or key chain)
of reindeer antler while experiencing the atmosphere of a Lappish log-built home. Duration 3-4 hours

Relaxing Fishing Trip by Car
Imagine yourself angling quietly by the wilderness lake.
Feel how pike attacks to your  spoon-bait in the luminous summer night. Take your camera and join us to an outdoor

HIKE WITH THE REINDEER
Hiking with a Herder and His Reindeers
After a short drive you’ll arrive to the reindeer farm. A local reindeer herder brings  you on a hike in the forest with his reindeers. The hike starts as we choose the reindeers and prepare them for the hiking trip. Enjoy the various sceneries of peaceful Lappish nature at its best while
hiking with the reindeers. Back in the farm we enjoy delicious pancakes. Duration 3-4 hours
